I don't think many people are against loanees when you use the system properly like we are now.

I'm against filling your squad up with loanees in August.

I'm not against bringing loan players in when we have injuries

Another thread that proves we know nowt.

Loanees are fine as long as they do the biz.

    Just like managers/coaches/old pros/youngsters

Just as long as they end up doing one thing.....WIN

This board went into meltdown the day we signed Kevin Long on loan.

Wasn't that because people weren't aware of the Nyatanga injury?

Pretty sure most agreed with it the following game when Heckinbottom told us Nyatanga was injured

That's it. At the start of the season you expect a team packed with your own players. This time of the season you expect injuries/suspensions so loans are to be expected. I doubt many had a problem with bringing in some loanees considering how many we have out at the moment. In an ideal world our developmental team would be good enough to be promoted, but that's not yet the case.

Maybe so. But some still gave the usual knee jerk reaction, getting a player fit for another team, a player who hasn't played in x amount of years etc etc. Yes that might have been the case, but look at the impact it's had on our season. Kevin Long may never play for us again, but if we get promoted this season, or win the JPT, or both, or neither, he's had an impact on whatever the outcome is.
