Rather than guessing how the hamster felt about being at the match, why didn't they just ask him.

They nicked it from pets at home before the game.

We got talking to em on way to car was telling me daughter it was lucky mascot and then asked her if she wanted it she did but already has one at home. I just thought they could live together got home wife wasn't impressed read up on it and you can't introduce new hamsters to older ones or they scrap like cat n dog so we took it to pets at home and they have a adoption thing for unwanted pets. So don't worry it is all safe and sound now.

Ah brilliant. More cringe-worthy publicity for our club from idiot fans.

Plant pot on head - witty, humour.

Stolen animal passed around for a laugh - total stupidity.

Looking at Facebook pages it's not difficult to identify the morons involved.

    What's funny about it though?

Would your daughter appreciate her hamster being passed about for 2 hours? It's cruel, it's pointless, it's moronic.

Yeah not very sensible thing to do I wouldn't take a hamster to oakwell or to any other ground my self and put it in people's hoods. And no she would be distraught at 8. Least it had a happy ending the hamster is fine and at pets at home wakefield so if you want to pay a fee and adopt the hamster it is there now

I'm glad to hear it, but it REALLY p#sses me off when people encourage/ apologise for idiots like this. The hamster was probably traumatised. But it's all ok, just lads having a laugh. If either of my kids did anything so stupid, they would not be going to football again.

I'm all for a laugh, but these lads need to learn where their fun has a direct impact on something or someone else. Sadly, what happens is that people like me who disapprove of behaviour like this, get more of a hard time than the idiots involved. I'm just waiting for the post that says that these lads are the ones that create an atmosphere, so it's all fine.
