It would cost less to build a house and mount it on there

Surely some of our sponsors could help out with the steelwork and installing the thing. Can't imagine it would be £100k

You can build a house and furnish it for less.

How long would it take to pay for itself?

Option 1: Buy a big screen outright, take the hit now and then all money made is profit afterward.

Option 2: A deal where the board is paid fully over 10 years. In essence a finance agreement

Option 3: the chesterfield model where a small fee is paid up front and then any revenue generated is split between club and supplier.

Option 4: hire a screen on matchdays like Doncaster racecourse does.

Option 5: buy a screen on a lorry (just over £100,000) and use it on matchdays at the club whilst hiring it out to other venues and events on none matchdays for up to and around £1000 per day.

I don't care what we're told, a board is financially viable. I keep asking the club to give a price that they need fans to find for stadium improvements such as this. The question is never answered at fan meetings.

The cynic in me believes there MUST be a reason why this is and cost ain't it

No interest in a scoreboard, personally. I'd take the current one down though.
