http://www.skysports.com/football/n...r-disgusting-incident-with-mk-dons-antony-kay Morgan-esque. Disgusting challenge.
That is far worse than Morgan's. You can see the power and deliberate attempt to injure and then he way he knows exactly what he's done so shuffles away trying to escape. Wouldn't play again if I was in charge of football
Absolutely disgusting opinion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pSHM6B_q30 Just look at that. Its genuinely assault. I've never understood to this day why its all fine because its on a football pitch, if it were anywhere else he'd have been banged up.
Morgan's was worse than that. Both were intentional but Morgan's elbow was delivered with far more ferocity.
Just to clarify, for those of us who assumed Anthony Kay had done something wrong he hasn't. Why isn't this thread titled Sanogo????
He'd be banned for life, were I in charge. Sickening act that has no place on the pitch. Cowardly lovely person. Just like Morgan.
I don't see the point in trying to quantify it, but at least Morgan's was near the ball. Just wandering up and elbowing somebody in the head is horrific.
That's exactly my point. Morgan was totally out of order for what he did but in my opinion this one was worse as the ball wasn't even on its way to them, he's simply walked over and assaulted him. For me that makes it even worse than Morgan's though it would seem that some people believe that saying something is worse than something else means that you must be saying the other was fine. Personally, unlike some people who use Facebook I think the word and is fine
What are you talking about? When did i say it was all fine? When have I ever defended Chris Morgan? When have I ever suggested that things are OK on football pitches? What is 'absolutely disgusting' about saying that I thought this completely off the ball predetermined elbow was even worse than Morgan's awful elbow?
Both as bad as each other. Morgan plants his feet 1st and has no intention of going for the ball. Sanogo walks over swings elbow with ball no where near anywhere other than the pitch he would have been arrested for assault Sent from my SM-G800F using Forum Runner
Agree totally, no difference between the two, if there had been a half-decent ref on the pitch Morgan would have been sent off and probably banned for the maximum number of games. He got away with it because the idiots at the FA refused to do anything because the ref did nothing. I think it is ludicrous that a player sent off can appeal and may win whereas Hume/Barnsley had no recourse within the game. I still feel that Hume/Barnsley should have taken out a civil case against Morgan/Sheff U. The club being just as responsible as Margan; management, supporters and board all backed him. Some managers with a bit of principle (Brian Clough for example) would have punished Morgan by at the very least not picking him - Clough would have put him straight on the transfer list. There is no mention of the scale of injury to Kay, I hope he's ok.
