On Wednesday My wife finished work Forever... she officially finishes at the end of the month but with remaing leave and flexi hours it meant she actually finished Wednesday... This morning I handed my notice in to finish after my duties on 2nd April.... leaving me with just 9 working days to attend... Feels so good. We will be able to relax de-stress and enjoy each other and life .... More much more trips to the great walks in Britain (which our dogs will benefit) we will be able to enjoy more time with our Grandson too.... oh and I will be able to get to Oakwell again ...BONUS.. happy people .

Congratulations on your impending retirement DT. Its a brilliant time of life and my only regret is having to wait for it till I was old!

Bang on magic. I thought I had six years to go but they've added another one even though I started at fifteen. You must be buzzing. Stress free for you, hopefully and milk the golden years. Really....enjoy the moment......A

Well done to you both, DT, and I hope you enjoy your retirement.

My missus left work as well on the same day as Mrs DT - after 20 years' employment. But it was because her employer TUPE'd (contracted out) her cleaning department which she was in charge of. She got a vase and a mug - after 20 years! (Mind you, I got nothing from the same employer - after 17 years!!).
