Should their of been red carded? No doubt about it. That said, having no keeper in the net wouldn't have made any difference. Awful penalty Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: Should their of been red carded? I think technically yes, although it looked like Fletcher bought the pen a bit so I think it's fair he didn't get sent off.
Re: Should their of been red carded? For me, he could have had a second yellow for the timewasting / bad sportsmanship before the penalty was taken.
Should their of been red carded? It was 100% definitely a red card. The ref was very lenient towards them today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: Should their of been red carded? Well he was wrong there weren't. And a second yellow for gamesmanship as also stated in this thread could easily have been given clear red card under the rules
Re: Should their of been red carded? I've no complaints, Fletcher touched the ball out wide and there was a defender tracking back
Re: Should their of been red carded? It's totally irrelevant even if there were...if you deny a 'goal scoring opportunity' it is a straight red. Some of the decisions that have gone against us this season are ridiculous.
Re: Should their of been red carded? I think the goalie would have been sent off nine out of ten times for a foul like the one we witnessed today but the feeble ref today didn't see it that way. We had a chance to punish them but the resulting penalty was as bad as the decision.
Re: Should their of been red carded? This tbh. Just bury the penalty and worry about the lack of a red card later.
Clear Red Card 1 on 1, keeper brings Fletcher down. Red all day long. Missing penalties really is a cardinal sin.
Re: Clear Red Card I agree it's certainly not a cardinal sin but at least hit the target. It was a very poor penalty and scoring it could have changed the game. Conor has been excellent recently so I'm not going to be too harsh on him today, he wasn't the only one to have a poor game. Goals change games, fine margins.
Re: Should their of been red carded? To be fair to the ref, he was a fat boy and could have been off the pace a bit, even though I saw it from the back row of the ponty with a **** load of JD in me.
Re: Should their of been red carded? As he hadn't been given a red card, their keeper merited a second yellow for going out of his goal, standing on the bye line facing his 'fans'
