Definitely red card for there keeper ref bottled it.
We need a new penalty taker
Haven't seen a side rime waste for 86 minutes for a long time anti football if ever seen it. Sadly the ref let it happen.

1.Yes a clear goalscoring opportunity & of course the last man. Red card all day long.
    2. I dunno, Hourihane has emphatically buried penalties on many occasions and the one against Sheff Utd was a fantastic save. Shocking pen today though.
    3. To be fair they came with a game plan and executed it to perfection. Brown certainly did his research.
    4. Callum Connolly just doesn't have enough urgency and needs to get stuck in more. I suppose he'll learn as that was only his 2nd senior appearance.
    5. The worse we have played for a long time never got going. Isgrove is one of those when you realize what your missing when he's gone. Chapman & Hammill were poor by their lofty standards.

Yes chapman I prefer as a sub Brough on to run tired legs. Colney was poor wasted a few decent oppotunities to get good crosses in but can't be too harsh as only his second appearance.

Yeah they time wasted but it cannot be used as an excuse, we did nothing when in possesion apart from give it away. They just seemed to want it more, which is unusual for us recently. Unfortunately we had too many players having an off day which is never a good combination! The better team won on the day.

    1) Fletcher kicked the ball to the right to make his angle worse and looking at the Channel 5 replay it looked like they had two defenders in a good position. Had the challenge happened more central to goals then it probably would have been off.

    2) People do miss pens from time to time.

    3) Makes a change from us doing it. Although at least we wait until the second half.

    4) For cover/competition for places yeah but he's been at fault for a few goals recently. Think we missed Isgrove more.

    5) Agreed. Phil Brown has a well executed game plan and got the three points they deserved. Nullified our best players, dealt with every Roberts throw and put the game to bed with a strike that if Messi or Ronaldo had done it would be shown all weekend long.

I agree after watching the replay on fl show 2 defenders were covering yellow card. We did miss isgrove true. And I don't mind missing a pen if it's saved but ffs least hit target

Yeah should have hit the target bare min. Everything went wrong yesterday and i'm happy for goal difference they didn't take their chances like hitting the bar, back post header etc which could have put them out of sight by half time pretty easily. Calumn played like someone who's hardly ever played professional football, which is understandable because he hasn't. Winnall is poor in the air and doesn't have pace so he struggled when he came on back from injury because we didn't play to his strengths. Mawson didn't get a foot in for the first goal. Fletcher was the clear MOTM. Southend weren't a dirty side but racked up the fouls with niggly things which got to our players who were second to too many balls probably fearing being fouled. Ref wasn't the reason we lost because he did alright. We were beaten by a better team on the day, so we shouldn't make excuses.

How are they covering when they are outside the box and fletcher is inside?
They are no more covering than you or I were, especially considering Fletcher had already ran past one of them
