Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke City), Fraser Forster (Southampton), Joe Hart (Manchester City).

Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), John Stones (Everton), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur).

Midfielders: Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Ross Barkley (Everton), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Liverpool), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City).

Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Jamie Vardy (Leicester City), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal).

Is there anyone who could/should replace any of these players?

Does Rooney get in? If so, is it at the cost of Sturridge or Welbeck?

I know Rooney gets slated but he'll go. Hodgson loves Welbeck so he'll go. Then you're pondering whether he leaves Sturridge or Walcott out. Saying that, I'd rather take Theo than Lallana.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will go if fit. Wilshere is a tricky one, but if he DOES get fit and plays a string of games, he's got to be seriously considered as he's got better quality than most of our midfielders.

Carrick would be going for me. Can see why he's been left out of a friendly as players at his age can do with a rest, and the coaching staff know all he can/can't do. Then Delph is really the only other outside of that group to potentially come back in, but again it depends of fitness and form.

Doubt you'll see a better 3 goalkeepers in any national squad.

I don't have any qualms with that squad.

I think Milner has had a very good season so far. In with a shout of starting.

I really don't see how Liverpool get three midfielders in this squad. That's our weakest area for me.

Our GKs and Forwards are strong. Really good options, and I'd definitely have Rooney in there as a replacement for Milner if fit, and then using Theo out wide if needed.

If Liverpool dominate our midfield at the Euros then we've failed before we've kicked a ball.

Oxlade Chamberlain should be going if fit, I'd have Carrick in there ahead of Henderson and I'm not really sure what Mark Noble needs to do to get a call up.

I really dont see how Rooney merits getting back into the squad with those strikers. Sturridge was our main striker before injury and is probably still our best striker when fit. Kane is obviously a world class striker who's bang in form, Vardy has been sensational this year, Welbeck offers you the option of playing him on either wing or up top and Walcott gives you frightening pace. What does Rooney bring?
If I were to bring any striker in, if he's fit it'd be Andy Carroll, purely for a plan B if we're chasing things.

I'd take a fit Rooney, but I'm not sure he will be. This recent injury sounds quite problematic. Do you take him with bugger all football played between January and the end of the season?

Less of the immature response, not brainwashed or particularly a fan but 49 goals for England.

I know Carrick is to go-to for people that know oh so much about football but he's been awful this season. The guys lost it. At last I don't have to listen to another speech about how "If you watch the game the way I do his understanding of the game is superb".

So too has Bobby Charlton. Should he be going?

Gary Lineker scored goals for England but we won't be taking him. Rooney has been a solid international player in his day but his day his done now.

Baines (if fit will go), same with Rooney and Wilshere. Feel sorry for Noble, Cresswell and to a certain extent (with all the injuries our forwards have had) Deeney. I'd rather have Scott Dann as back up instead of Jones. I hope Oxlade-Chamberlain doesnt go, been rubbish this season - no goals or assists

Haha brilliant! Did it really take you 4 minutes to think of that reply?

Really should have some kind of I.Q test before letting people post on here.

Fair enough, I've thought he's been decent when I've seen him, but granted hasn't had a real prolonged run of fitness and form.

Just feel he could a valuable option over the 5/6 games of a summer tournament. If he's played his last game for England then we've hugely squandered his talents over the last decade in my opinion.

if injuries and form were no issue then I'd make the following changes to the below.

    In Rooney, Out welbeck
    In Shaw, Out bertrand
    In Wishere, out Henderson

but I doubt any of the above 3 will be fit so i'm OK as it is.
