You don't think Luke Steele was better back then?

He will be in mine. Just noticed that season Barnsley got relegated they conceded the most in the league and that was with Butland playing 12ish games to keep it respectful. Goodness it would have been bad with Steele in the net for 46 games. Would have been in the mid 80's

I can't be arsed to defend a player that 99.9% of Barnsley fans rated from snipes and digs made a Barnsley fan. I just don't get what satisfaction you get from doing this.

I thought Frimpong was utter dross, most of us on here thought that, but surprise surprise you thought he was the best midfielder we'd ever had, but I don't keep posting about him to try and make my point.

I've been baited into it Jack but my comments were about Davies and Townsend.

We had a **** goalkeeper in too last season for a long time and he also conceded 1.6 I believe. Crawley away was the last we saw him thankfully

So that's why you hate him. His goals conceded figure was higher than your IQ

I think the players in front of him contributed a lot towards that in that season.

In 2013-14, Jack Butland was no better than Luke Steele when both pulled on a BFC shirt. In my opinion. That isn't a criticism of Butland. I liked him and he was much younger than Luke, so as most of us said at the time, he'll probably go on to be better than Steele. Which he's doing. And I'm happy to have said I once saw him represent my club.

I'm just not in the business of beating up on a club legend. Steele was a fantastic keeper for us, and I have some great memories of his time between the sticks. If your mate Phil wants to beat up on **** players, let's start with Frimpong.

If we'd not had Frimpong in the side we'd have gained a further 6 points and not gone down.

    Your move.

So, if goalscoring is not an attribute of a striker, what's a clean sheet to a goalie? :D

And to add to that a player who loved playing for the club and putting on the shirt which is more than can be said for quite a few in that relegation season.

Is the answer 'qualifying for the Champions League'?

Nobody has baited you into anything. You've created a thread about our current second choice keeper. When people gave you a courteous answer to your question, you then got your **** art and waved it abart. I've defended you in the past, and I'll always say you shouldn't be banned for having an opinion no matter how mental it is. But tha creates thi own problems on here.

Absolutely not. But land like Steele, had a terrible defence in front in him mind.

It's my belief that HemsworthTyke doesn't actually exist but is a dummy account controlled by site admin.
Every time the site gets a bit slow they wheel out the stealth bomber and unleash a whirlwind of utter madness.
Or is this a conspiracy theory too far?
I was reading the forum when this thread started and wondered. "A thread about our back up goalie?! Out of nowhere? What Machiavellian tricks are they up to now?"
You've got to hand it to em though...it's good value. :)

Since we're playing the game of comparing completely out of context statistics, Jack has let in average of 1.096 goals per league game this season and Luke 0.769.

Opens new bottomless can of ale.

And yet I get a warning from fired for attempting to wind him up in this very thread.
