Nowt to do with religion directly. If it says Easter Egg, they think they won't be able to sell them to Jews or Muslims or Hindus or Zoroastrians or anybody who isn't Christian or agnostic. All about money, the true religion.
Can't wait for Gregg's to start selling Easter egg and bacon butties. That would get the apologists and conspiracy nuts in a reight tizzy.

There is absolutely no evidence at all that A. Anyone has been offended by the word Easter or B. Anything has been removed to avoid offending.

It's probably more to do with the fact that the majority of people in this country are not practising Christians so it's simply pointless sticking the word Easter on everything's ng when none of us give a **** about the ******** of a man who was killed and then came back to life and all we want is a chocolate egg which is exactly what they're selling.

Why would Christians be offended by the use of the word Easter? Christians after all are the usual lot. Offended by shops wanting to open at weekends, women being allowed to have top jobs, gay people being allowed to marry etc. The Christian Church is the most easily offended and publicly whiney organisation of the lot.

The name Great Britain doesn't refer to how "great" the place is it refers to its size as greater than Brittany which used to be called lesser Britain. Don't let that interrupt your poorly thought out opinions on Daily Mail headlines, though.

I don't think that's the only thing that makes you wet. I've just looked on Cadbury's website and they have quite a few Easter eggs for sale. Have a look here. There are 13 Cadbury's products with the word Easter in their name.

More likely to be pagans who are objecting as the word comes from the same one as oestrogen and has connotations with fertility and the on-set of spring. I didn't know pagans had so much clout!!
