Am I the only one who doesn't remember anything of note from him? The way he is being talked about on here the last few days it appears he was an absolutely amazing player for us but I can't really remember anything he did at all.

Which isn't the same as thinking he's **** by the way, I don't remember any shitness or greatness just a lot of young kid loanee meh

Ran one of the best defences in the league absolutely ragged at Wigan in the JPT. Agree he was inconsistent but considering we're playing well at the moment and are more consistent than we were when he was here, I think he's a top signing.

i thought he was everything we'd been after in a target man, tbh. won everything in the air, gave their defenders a lot to think about and linked up play well. really pleased we've got him back

That old chestnut potential, I think. Showed enough in a ***** Barnsley side to suggest he had summat about him, so we naturally extrapolate that and deduce that in Barnsley 2.0, he'll be the new Cruyff. Or something.

He started off slowly in a poor side, where most of the team were befuddled by LJ's funky tactics and ineffective formations. However, he got better as he settled in and we moved to 4-4-2. Two of his last three performances, at Wigan and at Colchester were excellent.

With everyone available I'd put him behind Winnall, Watkins and Fletcher but he's a good option for this weekend and good on the club for getting us four decent striking options for the run-in.

You're the only one making out that we're all saying he was amazing. If that helps.

He was unplayable that day. Showed everything in his locker. Pace, power, technique, great in the air. And scored.

He started off slowly but got better as the games went on

Let's not forget he was playing in a side that was very poor at time

I have no doubt he will hit the ground running and score some crucial goals starting with today

Bags of pace is always useful at any level, especially this one.

Only if it is allied to skill, pacer is no good without talent.
I know it is a different thing, but look at Dwain Chambers playing Rugby League, he is the equal fastest 100 meter runner in British history, yet he was pretty poor at Rugby League, because he could only run fast, he didnt have the basic talent !

Was poor today and I don't remember him being much better earlier in the season

I disagree with you, I thought he put in lots of effort and was playing against an experienced defender as a lone striker. On the few occasions he wasn't being manhandled ( for which the ref gave him no protection at all), he got his head onto the ball but no-one was in an advanced enough position to latch onto them.
Done get me wrong he didn't have a great game, but I thought it is not correct to describe him as poor.

Agree with the above. Lone striker with little support is bound to struggle a bit

I thought he was fairly decent today to say he pretty much played the whole game with no team mate within 10 yards of him.

Put him up there with Winnall and it'll work well I think. That knock down he did that landed on the penalty spot was screaming someone to put it in but there was nobody there. Frustrating.

I agree. He wasn't helped by the formation or tactics today. He's better then he looked this afternoon.

Most definitely and considering his age and experience which some seem to be discounting I thought he made a good show of it.

I wasn't at all impressed but to be fair he was stuck up on his own and I don't think he actually was given the ball to his feet til about the 70th minute!
