Of grooming and then having sexual relationships with a host of girls as young as 12. And dressing to look like a man and using a strapon for penetration whilst pretending she was male (presumably lights were off). The lies went so far that one victim believed she was pregnant and another is emotionally scared at being in a lesbian relationship without her knowledge.
Oh and she is guilty of possessing child pornography images of the victims too.

    Anyway she's got 3 years...

The law isn't perfect, we all know that. Let it go.

And why would that be? Considering I'm not either one of the victims not the woman in question

Your point is that Adam Johnson has been basically victimised, compared to the sentences that are dished out for crimes far worse than his.

And you are 100% absolutely correct.

I would rather say the others got off lightly to be honest.

Correct Marlon. I can't believe that some are unhappy with Johnsons sentence because he got longer than others. It's their sentences that we should be unhappy with not Johnsons.

Of all the cases of genuine miscarriages of justice to get your bee in a bonnet about a by all accounts arrogant, entitled and nasty multi-millionaire isn't one that springs to mind.

So you "can't believe" that someone might want to point out that a certain individual has been singled out, when compared to others, to be treated unfairly?

An opinion such as that goes beyond your capacity to believe?

    Righto.

There is nothing wrong with pointing things out but it's been like a 'free the Sunderland one' crusade on here at times today. I don't think he's been treated unfairly, the likes of Hall were treated unfairly.

Oh and you do know it's only a figure of speech don't you.

shouldn't people be objecting to the lenient sentences that others have got, rather than objecting to the sentence that johnson got? this objection to johnson's term has a very unpleasant tone to it.

So the sentences of others should be increased. Six years, serving about three seems about right to me.

Please explain this "horrible tone ".

Is this horrible tone worse than the "lynch mob" mentality that appears every time someone in the public eye gets accused of anything?

We've had all and sundry over the past few years accused of this and that, many of whom have had their lives ruined by palpably false allegations.

If you think that Johnson has been treated unfairly in terms of punishment when compared to practically everyone else, the horrible tone would be sounded in keeping quiet about it.

i disagree with you, and it's not really worth the debate on my part. so i won't bother. his sentence is what his sentence is, and as far as i'm concerned there are a million and one miscarriages of justice out there, worth defending far more than this.

6 years for child abuse seems about right. As others have said just because other criminals got lighter sentences doesn't make thus sentence wrong it makes the others too lenient.

    Sorry to disagree.

Any child abuse. The sentence couldn't be long enough whatever they got.

You are probably right to be fair though in Johnsn's case I think given what he did the sentence is about right.
