.....he threw a few ideas into the hat, I've checked a few reviews out on the internet. The alarm bells started ringing when one of the reviews was "Under a fiver a pint here! Awesome". While I'm always happy to pay for a pint of really good ale, is under a fiver really such a rarity in London?!
I can't work out why we have the pubs to the west of Wembley. Surely Oxford fans will get the train to Paddington and then tube to Wembley Central??
Last time I was in London I went for a beer with the engineer who'd come with me. I ordered two bottles of Peroni and got a tenner out with little expectation of getting much change. I didn't get any change in fact I had to get more money out because it was more than a tenner. Rip off city.
Hahaha! And that's before anyone has seen how much the fish and chips cost at Wembley! Nearly a tenner in the cup semi I seem to remember, and that was eight years back. Nice escalators though.
Course it will its on the Barnsley mans handy travel phrase book under "battle cries" along with " i only want a pint ar dunt want to buy shares in't brewery luv.
Went to The Salisbury in Covent Garden after Leyton Orient... something like £12.50 for two pints of Peroni. That said it's a fiver for a pint of Erdinger in a pub in Holmfirth too! The Lamb and Flag and Roundhouse in Covent Garden are nice pubs, bit cheaper too!
