Random question - Gaelic Footy / Hurling tickets

Has anyone on here ever attended a big match in either one of these slightly unhinged Irish sports? One of my clients is a massive sports fan, and wants us to go to one of the finals at Croke Park. Has anyone got any idea how easy tickets are to come by, and whether any are available for general sale? The guy is a bit of a nutter, he was devastated when he found out about the JPT final, and asked why I hadn't invited him. I was absolutely sure he wouldn't be interested, especially as it clashes with his daughter's 12th birthday, but he is insistent that he would have come.

 

Ticketmaster and croke park direct sell them I do beleive was going to go myself the other year. Not saying I'm a massive hurling fan but do watch it and most finals are not a sell out.

 

Cheers mate. Would prefer to go to a Gaelic Footy final, but Hurling would definitely do - the atmosphere at those games looks absolutely unreal on the TV.

 

Have you got mates there, or you just decided to go and bought a ticket on general sale?
