It really is as simple as that. Fracking only works by injecting chemicals intot he ground. the ground you walk on. It causes subsidence too by the way.

We are an island we are surrounded by water. Simple as that

    Mining didn't cause subsidence?

So we should have shut all the pits?

    Also second attack.
Apparently plane company that was training the pilots reported to the authorities that they were concerned that the students didn't want to know the landing procedures and we're told there was no concerns.

You seem to think it is better to celebrate the extreme sentence that Johnson got rather than bemoan the general injustice that prevails within the system.

And I am for enterprise as far as fracking is concerned.

As will others when it reduces their energy bills - which will not happen simply by virtue of there being lots of water around our island

    Not celebrating at all

,the injustice in the system is the lenient sentences to the others

I would rather bemoan that fact rather than saying it's not fair on Johnstone because he nearly got what he deserved and the others didn't.

Well we haven't heard anyone slagging off the sentencing tariffs on here until a few pointed out how nasty Johnson's sentence was.

Now we want to hang everybody.

    Sort of.

No not really, I think the post war strategy was an epic fail on the part of the coalition who removed him. As Saddam had proven, he cared little for international boundaries, sovereignty or ethnic minorities but I'm not convinced it was our place to remove him, not without good reason and we now know that the good reason was a fabrication.

Once removed we had a duty to stabilise the country and on that count I think we failed miserably.

Your like a politician exaggerating to make a point ,

Don't have to be for death sentence ( which i am fully against whatever circumstances)or indeed a lock em up till death and in chains merchant .

But don't want his sentence devalued because others have got away with full justice.

As for not hearing anything on sentencing in threads on this board till the Johnson affair ,

I can only think you've missed a lot of threads.

Isn't it strange how you, and others, now are demanding "full justice"?

Why does "full justice" only apply to Adam Johnson?

And why can you not see that if one person gets your full justice, that it is wrong for one to get it, when others don't?

Let Johnson get the sentence he deserves when all the others do.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing Mario , but with his track record and the fact that he refused several times to comply , in the end who served him justice. The country should then begin to stand on its own, damned if you do ,damned if you don't.

It's his thing. I quite like it. I rarely agree with him or even hold much of a discussion with him but he's got character. We can't all be agreeing 24/7. Look at Mario. I know him, he's a great lad. But I have some good old arguments with him. So long as it doesn't descend into name calling or owt, it's only a good thing surely?

By the way. I'm with you in this debate. We're loony lefties, pal.

I give in. My weak arguments have been decimated by Marlon and Whitey.

You're a character pal. I respect that. I'm hoping you don't spoil things by finding an actual opinion or argument.

Bit of a vacuum on here of late. You could fill it. But can you do it without abuse or name calling, personal stuff? It's exciting and I can't wait to find out.

I have my opinions. As do all on here.

And do it without name calling.

And if you can find any time that I was personally abusive to anyone on here, then I will rsign here and now.

I had a sense of humour too. Once.

But an hour of watching Rowan Atkinson doing "Maigret" buried that too!:)
