Whilst out feeding the birds, I was joined by a unique visitor to our garden. After living in our home for 32 years, we received a visit from a pheasant hen. Now I appreciate that for those of you living in the countryside and/or with a large garden, this may not be much to talk about. But we live on Dodworth High Street and have a small back garden, so it came as a very pleasant surprise.
I'm using it as a good omen for our first Wembley Cup Final on Sunday!:D

She's a real game bird, though not a candidate for Girl Friday.

Perhaps we could have a special JPT Wembley edition this Friday? Talking of wildlife, just seen a squirrel climb a nearby tree, a grey one though. Wasn't quick enough to get a photo though. Oh and thee grass needs cutting.

Did you get it for pheasant plucking?
Should've caught it, taken it to Wembley, and let it go on the pitch like the French do with cockerells.

No, don't do that coz me whippet or ferret is looking likely to catch it.

Sorry, mate. Back in 2012 the BBS decided to stop the posting of Girl Friday type photos and I'll obey that.

Me being the oldest paper lad in the world, saw one last Saturday morning in a garden down Strafford Walk, might well be the same one.

Oh, aye(!) With my svelte like physique, it'd have been a piece of cake to catch, never mind plucking it!:D:D
