On paper looks the toughest out of every team in and around the play off places Coventry h Sheff Utd a Walsall h Port Vale h Rochdale a Shrewsbury h Burton a Millwall h
Really hope they win those first 2 though. Could effectively kill both Cov and Blunts play off chances? Perhaps leaving a little room for a couple of set-backs for us?
Nightmare scenario - Millwall and Gillingham go into the last day in 5th and 6th, 3 points ahead of us in 7th. Counter scenario - both us and Wigan require a point to guarantee play-offs and promotion, respectively.
Millwall run in Colchester a Shrewsbury h Coventry a Fleetwood h Bury a Oldham a Gillingham a Bradford run in Scunny h Swindon h Shrewsbury a Coventry a Walsall h Southend a Chesterfield h
Both teams just sit on the grass for 45 minutes, go off for half time and then do the same again in the second half. An whole match with no shots, no corners, no throw ins etc but no risks taken so we both get the result we want. Doubt other play off teams would like it or the FA but there is nothing in the rules to stop clubs playing out the best scenario they can have. It's not like we can both get fined for not taking any risks.
Would have been great if this happens and Peterborough have a late run and we end their chance of the play offs with just us and them fighting for that sixth spot.
Peterborough moaning about the spirit of the game as we ruin their hopes a second time would be brilliant. 20 odd quid for a ticket to Wigan but not one fan in the ground would be bothered about the match being boring from being played out like that
Funny how fixtures work out at this time of year. For example Crewe's very last four games are all against the other four teams in the bottom five, shame they will already be long gone by them. Donny's last four away games are all against former Barnsley managers or players - Hill, Flitcroft, Wilson and Davis.
Last few minutes of Huddersfield all over again. As Jeff put it, "Scenes of inertia! Total inertia!" as Steele did nowt with the ball.
