I disagree. Williams seems to ooze confidence and quality. I'd say Bree seems the more nervous of the two, highlighted by the mistakes he made against Fleetwood and Gillingham.

Williams has been faultless and should start for me.

To be fair, if we didn't have Williams we'd be happy with Bree playing and if we didn't have Bree, we'd be happy with Williams so it's actually a good position to be in.

I'd go with George who has been defensive solidity and assurance personified. Since he came back from loan he's played 12 league games and we've conceded just 5 goals in those games which is a chuffin' marvellous record.

    It will be:

    Davies
    Williams Mawson Roberts White
    Isgrove Brownhill Hourihane Hammill
    Watkins Winnall

They'll be back fit I reckon.

My view on is it's not great to leave either out but Bree's so calm. HE very rarely goes to ground and he's an athlete.

I think Williams can panic at times and will just jump into a tackle. Did it on Monday and it didn't cost a goal. It did however at Crewe.

Obviously it's because Bree is younger than Williams.

    Case closed.

    FFS.

In my opinion Bree's the most talented player in the squad. His next move should be nothing less than to a Premier league team.

He's also capable of making sloppy mistakes that cost us goals. I'd start with Williams

I think George Williams will start, possession 9/10th of the law and all that.
Agree with Exile it's a great position to be in. Had a look at stats and James Bree and George Williams in 2016 both won 9 games and lost in only 1. What surprised me, was that in the 7 games they've played together, unbeaten conceding only 2......
    Food for thought?????

Interesting observation especially as White was poor on Saturday which is unusual.

Giving away a free kick didn't cost a goal. The inability to defend a set piece did.

Roberts got turned and haber scuffed his shot onto the other lads chest.

Comes with the territory as defenders. Bree has indirectly contributed to three goals we've conceded recently, two misplaced passes and a penalty (Shrewsbury??). Williams arguably by conceding the free kick at Crewe. But I'm really nitpicking as overall both of them have been excellent overall. If Bree does sign elsewhere in the summer, then right back is somewhere that we have a ready made 'replacement' who, in my view, is just as good. I like Williams' aggression and Bree's composure. They have different strengths and different weaknesses. Happy to see either start at Wembley but Williams', more than anyone since January, has earned his place in the team on consistency alone.

A very fair and considered opinion. Bree will undoubtedly go in the summer the same way as Stones, Holgate and good luck to him. Williams has the potential to play 300 games for the Reds and possibly be captain

They both are right now. Just under different contracts.
