I am currently writing an article for the JPT final. Part of this article will be the view of both fan-bases although the article is geared towards Barnsley fans. Having already gathered up answers from the Oxford board I would appreciate if some of you guys on here could answer these 10 questions: 1. Who is your favourite reds player and why? 2. With the return of A.White and the outstanding form of G.Williams, should J.Bree be left out of the side on this huge occasion? 3. Considering he led the reds through all the rounds, are you happy that Lee Johnson will be making an appearance under the arch? 4. George Waring impressed while loan at Oakwell last season. Are you worried about coming up against big George for the 1st time? 5. Most Reds fans will have to travel 2 and a half hours longer than their opponents. Should the national stadium be moved into the midlands? 6. Kemar Roofe has earned many admirers this season. Will the Reds be able to prevent him from adding to his JPT tally of 4 goals? 7. Adam Hammill has been very influential in this years JPT. Will he have to be at the top of his game if the reds are to lift the trophy? 8. Paul Heckingbottom will lead the reds out as caretaker boss on Sunday. As a former player and Barnsley man, does this make the occasion even better? 9. With an impressive 23,000 traveling down from South Yorkshire, are you expecting a good atmosphere on Sunday? 10. What is your score prediction?
1. Marley Watkins. Has that bit of grit and niggliness about him that us Yorkshire lads want to see. Chips in with goals and sets up plenty. 2. Yes. Bree wasn't on great form prior to his injury anyway. 3. Not bothered but can understand both views. 4. He's a good forward at League 1 level, never mind for a League 2 side, so will cause our defence issues but believe Roberts and Mawson are more than capable of keeping him quiet. 5. Two views on this. In an ideal world, cup finals should be played more central but there is still a possibility of somebody travelling a lot more in distance than the other side e.g an Aston Villa - Newcastle FA Cup final. England should be playing in London for all their games in my opinion so to kill two birds with one stone, Wembley is probably best being in London. 6. From what I know of, he's an attacking midfielder. With us playing a 4-4-2, he could cause us danger constantly lurking in between the midfield and back four, especially if Josh Scowen is stuck out on the wing. But at the end of the day, we've been brilliant with this formation beating better sides than Oxford containing better players than Kemar Roofe. Potentially a worry but concentrate on our own game. 7. We've beat sides this season when Adam Hammill hasn't been at his best but when he's in the side at anything above 80%, he adds so much. If Hammill is at his best Sunday, their full back won't live with him and we've got a better chance of winning. 8. Yes, would have been even better if he was manager when we beat S****horpe in the first round and this run into the final was his doing. 9. Expecting better than previous years with the three singing sections. Don't think it'll be a bad atmosphere but cup finals for smaller clubs never have a great noise about them. 10. Think both teams will be quality going forward with both sides being on great form. I'm saying a 2-2 draw with extra time and possibly penalties.
