We were on the coach for 17:15 and got back into Barnsley for 23:00 then another hour wait for a taxi home Worth it but bloody long day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We were back in Barnsley for about half nine and that included a stop at the services and being held up at Stanmore and the accident at Toddington services. Big observation from my journey home was the amount of people who simply can't drive on motorways seemed to have gone up. The middle lane tw@ts and people with no lane discipline at all were out in force last night.
Not back yet. Mainly because I don't live there. Tube back to Euston. Couple more beers and some snap with the lad, then a fairly deserted 7.57 train back to Manchester. Picked the car up, through the door just before half 11. Watched the highlights with a brew, then again this morning with a bacon sarnie. Did it happen??
10.30 stopped at services too though. Glad I stayed down satdi or that would have been a 8.5 hour round trip
8-30 went to the Dil Raj for a celebratory curry, which was excellent , not been in for some years .We parked on an industrial estate near Wembley , straight out no problems , got past the accident before the Police turned up
About 8.15, ten miles north of Lincoln. A1 an absolute dream, no hold ups at all. Very few reds fans using it but saw some.
12:10 Last night. Got back at Park Royal then set off on M1. Next thing I took a wrong turn into M6. Fckin Hell.
Middle lane tw@s are baffled on those long four lane sections ain't they? You can guess which of the middle two they choose though ....... Welcome to my world, I live on the M1
Reasonably quick back to Stanmore, reasonably quick out of Stanmore, held up a little while by the crash / lane closures, dropped the lad off at a party in Bradford, back on the drive in Bingley at 9.25pm Crammed a lot into a 15 hour day - went in a flash but thoroughly enjoyed it
Watched all the presentations, train to Stanmore, in car and pulled into Wombwell at 8pm. The crash had just happened at the services so it didn't delay us. M1 was a dream there and back, only 50 sections slowed us down a little
Our coach parked at Stanmore - nice & easy Tube ride out, 20 minutes on to M1 and in Wombwell for 9. Laughing.
Midnight thanks to Mr Whitey missing his train the good DrZazlos (hewhomustnotbenamed) dropped everyone in and around Barnsley from about 9:45. Totally worth it! Top weekend away. Sent from my iPhone
We just got Past the accident and made it home for half 8. And had a stop at Leicester services. The car parking i booked led us straight back onto the north circular, researched it well before booking.. Plenty of fans at Leicester services too..
