Some other regions don't go back until next week. Also, most private schools get 3 weeks off.

How does that work JamDrop? Kids here get two weeks, one either side of Easter but if kids in other places are off till Monday then won't they have had longer off due to good Friday?

my kids were off a week either side of easter, which is different to usual. I didn't realise and they had to have monday off school as we stopped over after wembley.

I know someone at work from Huddersfield whos kids school broke up day before good Friday for 2 weeks, thats what my kids sometimes do.

    absolutely Marlon

worked every day since leaving school, barring a few holidays and the odd bout of sickness, never drawn a penny from the welfare state, served my country in various places of conflict, and done a good few events to raise monies for charities... yeah I guess I am a real waster .

    :p

Nope, we haven't got an INSET day within the week. Also, the 5 INSET days each year were always school holidays but they were changed so that kids still get the same amount of time off but teachers have to go in.

Yeah, we got 2 weeks and a day. It all equals out. Every school has exactly 190 days in session (with the kids) plus 5 INSET days for the teachers (unless they are like us - we have 'twilights' so we only have 2 INSET days).
