Very much achievable or beyond us? Just 3 points the difference. My personal opinion is that it will go down to the final fixture. I hope by then Wigan are already champions and have thoughts of summer holidays. Burton away I have a good feeling about. Our away form is very impressive plus we will have a big following backing the lads. Peterborough home may be more tricky than it looks since their season is over and the pressure is off then whilst the emphasis is on us to get nothing less than a win. Blunts away. Again by the time we play them their season could be over. Nothing would make them happier than scuppering our play off hopes. If we get good results in the previous two games I expect a huge away turn out to get behind em again. Colchester home. Probably relegated by the time this fixture comes around and would be a similar situation to the Peterborough game in terms of pressure and tension. Then the Wigan game. How are your nerves holding up?
odds to win the play offs , bit tight i think as we are outsiders to even make them Millwall - 5/2 Bradford - 3 Walsall - 4 Gillingham - 9/2 Burton - 9 Barnsley - 10 Rochdale - 50 Wigan - 100 Sheffield Utd - 150 S****horpe - 250
We scrambled home on Tuesday and in truth haven't been in great form for the last half dozen games (excepting the Final). With tougher teams to face away than we've played recently a realistic view of making the playoffs is that our chances are very slim. The best price available for us for a top 6 finish is 9/4, which equates to roughly a 30% chance. I rate us a longer shot than that.
I think we've a great chance of making it. If us & Gillingham continue to perform how we have the last 2 months we leapfrog them
With any luck none of Peterborough, Sheffield Utd, Colchester and Wigan will have anything to play for. I know you could say they can play with no pressure but as we've found out in past seasons it is difficult to play 100% if you've go nothing to play for
got to agree with you.... not taking anything away from the boys but i think this is one hurdle too many to climb...
I'm not saying we will...but there is no doubt in my mind we can...nothing to be frightened of in any of them.
I think we will get 4 points from the away games and it won't be enough. We started too poorly for even the smallest margin of error and the 3 home games without a win finished us off. I'd like to be wrong and of course we are still in it.
I can see us winning all three we,ve won our last 5 away games we,ll definetely beat burton anybody would think we were playing Real Madrid.
All of them. And both home games. Be a dark day when I don't fancy us against four clubs smaller than us, and away at dem blades who are gash.
I didn't think we would beat bradford away or port vale away both had very good home records. This league is very open top have been beating bottom and visa versa with exeption of wigan. Burton haven't won in four games and our away form is pretty good. Admittedly we need to pick up the pace and play two good halves of football instead of one. But Gillingham are 3 points in front of us to catch that up in 5 games is more than capable. We will know more after these next 3 games though.
I think we'll do Burton saturday. The United one is the one I'm not too confident about, they'll have nothing left to play for but a lot of them will be playing for contracts either with them or elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good. I'd be ashamed to call myself a Barnsley supporter if I feared playing the likes of Wigan, Colchester and Burton Albion.
I think we've got a decent chance. Been thinking of booking train/hotel for the bank holiday weekend anyway - if we don't get through we will just go and see a pantomime or summat.
