    Our top flight is the toughest league to do well in so it takes more out of players/clubs. PSG struggle to get an handful of tough games a season in the league so can rest players more and they are fresher because they win so often without having to go full throttle. Dortmund/Bayern are similar. Our clubs even if they are away at someone like Sunderland can't afford to rest players.

    To have an English team in the last four of both european competitions is an achievement.

    I think playing German teams suits English clubs. It's the Spanish that tend to turn us over.

    exactly, although suppose the same can be said of other countries, was a lot better/more representative when most of the players were from the UK.
    Good effort from Liverpool though, although from the highlights it looked like the Germans should have been way out of sight before Liverpool got started.

    There needs to be a cap on foreign players in squads and starting XI's. We've gone from quality to quantity.
