Leicester v West Ham. Don't think I've ever seen so many poor big decisions in a game. Neither were yellows for vardy he gives pen against Morgan but not one for foul on Huth. Very poor game imo
Slaven Bilic just done a great interview on NBCSports, im guessing ou guys wouldnt have seen it. But basicly they asked about referee, Slaven was open and honest. He said im a ex player and now head coach,im not or never have been a ref. But the intense pressure they are under every game is crazy, you have 30-40000 fans every week shouting at you, everytime a high ball goes in the box there shouting at you, everytime a player falls the fans are shouting at you,and been surrounded by players. Because of pressure decisions will be made.
I completely sympathise with referees I honestly do. They have a split second to make a decision and how many of us have done that at work and then immediately regretted it, they can't undo their decisions j get that.... However, when a referee is so inconsistent with his decisions and seems at times to be completely inept, then my sympathy for them completely evaporates. It's a weird one as he seemed to start the game today quite well keeping things under control but then it's like he was trying to stamp his authority on the game and made some very rash decisions imho.
I was at a regional game yesterday and literally every single time a home player committed a foul they were booked. 6 bookings and 1 red card for the home team at half time!
Goodness only knows how Moss has made a career out of refereeing. He's been consistent in his inconsistency since his lower league days. And he'll still get another gig next week. Knowing our luck he'll get demoted for a week and pitch up at Bumhole Lane!
We get a mixed bag at local level. There are certain referees that you make a point of trying to avoid and it's no coincidence that the same referees and linesman end up doing the local cup finals every year. They are the ones that consistently get good ratings from teams. I honestly believe moss wanted his name in the headlines tomorrow after that performance today.
Thought he got the big decisions right - absolutely a dive by Vardy and well done to the ref on actually having the balls to issue a 2nd yellow.
The standard of premiership refs is poor. Then you have the FA giving Kevin Friend a Spurs game, then taking it away from him because he lives in Leicester, even though he's apparently a Bristol City fan. So basically you have doubts your professional can ref with integrety.
Vardy's second booking was bang on, if not some of the other decisions. Threw himself into the defender to try and win a penalty. Takes balls to send him off.
Definitely thought Vardy's was a dive. But since when did corner kicks become like American Football where players are looking to take out the opposition before the balls kicked.
