The irony of the matter is that they're bleating away about how we'll start plenty of threads regarding it being their cup final, that time we relegated them etc etc, and the funniest thing is, the first thread on the subject of Sheffield United is this one highlighting that they're talking about us. Oh the irony.

I was talking to a Blades fan just before Wembley. He said he hopes they stay down so they can have a crack at the JPT, or whatever it'll be called, next season. They haven't won at Wembley since the 1925 cup final. He's in his 60s and wants to see them lift a trophy there while he's still alive.

 

I remember a particularly low attendance the season before we were promoted to the Premier League (1995/96). I doubt if they even brought 500 that day.

 

That was your polite way of telling me they've actually won at Wembley, wasn't it?

 

Not really , due to their failure in the last few years the deep inferiority complex and character defining obsession with Wednesday has to be temporarily transferred elsewhere ...we are it at the moment , as and when Wednesday get really s***e again it'll be game on.

 

I've just thought of a new one - let's all chant Dee-dar Dee-dar, but it make it sound like a siren.

The incest stuff is a bit boring given that the only notable and publicised incest story I can remember actually stemmed from Sheffield, but I'm not going to lower myself to their levels by going into that.

 

I really hope we pip them to sixth by goal difference. Could you imagine the socks off in the car park protests and subsequent court dates over the Alnick incident haha.

They really are the met obnoxious set of supporters in the country. Them and Cackwell were a perfect match.

There's one particular turd who seems quite active on the board by the name of Tyler Durden (not gay in the slightest), who sums them up to a tee. **** to your face and an even bigger one in private.

I try to not read those sorts of forums anymore cos I get too cross but for gods sake, this one guys in a tirade about Barnsley and sums it up with "they are ****ing horrible horrible people."...... this just a few posts down from where they are posting pictures of and mocking Hume's injury. Lovely set of folk mocking a man's career being horribly disrupted by GBH.

I've tried to think about it in the reverse terms a few times but I am absolutely certain if one of our players did that I would not be laughing about it like they are still years later.
