I think we need to ban the 500 or so supporters who went on to the pitch at Fleetwood at the end of the game, and further report them to the police for this transgression. There were some real neer do wells that day, i personally spotted a school teacher and a social worker as well as many other honest hard working people on the pitch. Personally i don't love the team, i love my town, so i'm not one to be bothered with seeking bodily contact with any of the players. If people feel the need to run on to the pitch then so be it: it's a load of silly nonsense. It should not be difficult to clear them off after 5 mins or so. I think i went on the pitch in 79 after the grimsby game when i was 10.

The morons that run on the pitch ruin it every year for the proper supporters who want to thank the team for their efforts during the season.

And it also looks incredibly tinpot to whoever we're playing on the day.

But I can guarantee it will happen again.

Some hi jinks for a few minutes then ushered off.

    Get over it.

Shouldn't the police be preventing the crime from taking place though? If the force is paid by the club to come into the stadium and work then surely it is their duty to prevent crime from happening wherever possible. I don't think anyone wants to see the police having to process hundreds of people but perhaps that wouldn't be necessary if they took a few simple steps to prevent the law bei g broken in the first place

So long as BigLil doesn't run on and start digging up the pitch, looking for pointy bits of flint and broken cups.

What has their profession got to do with it? They're still breaking the law.

If it was Leicesters pitch, we'd all end up sub-consciously running in diagonal lines to the away end and get torn to pieces by 30 odd disappointed Colchester fans.

To be honest id rather the police budget that day wasnt wasted on overtime and attending oakwell to satisfy the musings of a few right on folk.
Id rather they spent it having foot patrols outosde peel square. Lidl. Spuggy park summer lane etc stopping anti social behaviour, drug taking and getting pissed on the street which is banned in tarn...

I'm saying they should be banned and arrested and charged in a court of law and receive a criminal record, thus losing their jobs and careers for this heinous crime.
