After all the fuss about pitch invasions, I haven't seen one single post praising the fans for their restraint. A couple of exhibitionists apart, everyone stayed off the pitch. The result of the match hasn't made the slightest difference in the past, in case anyone puts that down as the reason. I bet some people are disappointed they can't have their annual moan about it.

Restraint? I praise the "fans" for managing not to break the law. How people go day in, day out without breaking the law is breathtaking.

Maybe the 98th minute equaliser f*cked up their high spirits?

Dunt think it counts when its down to them being stunned or inert with depression or the majority have just pissed off home because they can't take it in what just happened! :D

I noticed two young lads ran on and got booed but apart from them well done if we had secured play offs probley everyone would have been on.

Like I said, the result hasn't made the slightest difference before. What we did see is the way to deal with it in the future. The skinhead who turfed one of them off the pitch probably succeeded where scores of stewards and police have failed in the past. Line up some mesters from the crowd to cuff the young 'uns round the ear.

Because we've usually conceded deflating 98th minute equalisers in previous final home games.

I felt sick to my stomach when they got the equaliser, and I bet thousands more did. The manner of it left a nasty taste in the mouth. All I wanted to do was get the hell out of Oakwell. I suspect most Tykes fans felt the same.

It's nothing to praise. It should be the norm. There's no reason to run on the pitch.

It's a bit like praising someone for not racially abusing a black player or making whistling sounds at a female linesman

I'm not going to praise 99.9% of folk for not being idiots.

Although there was one mug who waltzed on like he was Ian Brown or Liam Gallagher, giving it the big un. Until another wally grabbed him. Then it all kicked off like it used to in primary school. Even the stewards ran over and nearly got involved. Nearly. It was an embarrassment to watch.

Didn't stay long enough to see all that soon as that goal went in I was totally in shock as to what I had just seen. Had me hands on my head for a while Wistle blew noticed 2 kids on pitch getting booed. I then clapped the players off for 30 seconds and then made my way to my car in shock. If we had won I would have stayed for the encore but I had to get me sen home. Wish I had of stayed longer the players deserved a good applause but I felt physically sick.

It's a post giving credit where it's due for once. They were supposed to be a set of numbskulls who weren't capable of rational thought processes. I didn't expect anyone to agree, but at least it diverted some of the lynch mob from their witch hunt of certain players for a while.

People don't carry as much money as they used to, that's why I gave it up.
