We will have fallen three points short of a playoff place and have captured a trophy at Wembley despite writing off half of the season while we got our asses in gear! Time will lend perspective as we come to terms with the disappointment of yesterday. In reality, the points dropped against Scunny, Southend and Chesterfield will have been just as critical. Then again...... we might just do it!
We could very well do it but we'd need a once more dear friends type of rally IMO. Its still in our own hands just twice harder than originally anticipated . Us, Gills and Scunny could both lose and the irony is if we take a possible tonking from Wigan we could lose out on GD.
Everybody seems to be forgetting our abysmal record against Wigan JPT and a cup victory years ago, don't think we've ever beaten them anywhere in a league match.
We have no worse case scenario We were bottom in December and the turn around has been remarkable What ever happens from here on they deserve nothing but praise

The best case scenario is that we win and by more than Scunny do at Blunthole Lane. The next best scenario is that we draw, but Scunny draw also and Gillingham fail to win against Millwall. The next best scenario is that we lose, Scunny lose and Gillingham only draw. The worst case scenario is that we win but Scunny win bigger/ we draw and Scunny win/ we draw and Gillingham or Scunny win. That would be a worst-case scenario. Hope this helps (as someone once said).
Surely the worse case scenario would be a meteorite hits the earth and wipes out the whole of humanity except Mumford and Sons.
What's that got to do with the price of fish. Does it give them a couple of goals start or something? History has as much bearing on results as ground size and fan base.
View attachment possibilities Sheet1.pdf If I've figured attachments properly... here are all the possible results - not taking into account a +3 goal swing for Scunny. Am I right in thinking if we finish on level difference we go into playoffs on goals scored? And yes, I'm bored and getting slightly obsessive over this - bring on Sunday.
we win, scunny need to win by 4 away at blunts assuming it still goes if gd equal the highest scorers go above. we just need to go for it and forget about the other 2 only worry is i reckon wigan will not want to be champs on gd
