Apart from the fact he'll be paying 50% tax. Wonder how many nurses and soldiers he pays for compared to you.
Considering I don't live in the UK I doubt I pay for any nurses or soldiers over there. Good try though.
Which makes a bit of a nonsense of your initial comments. Don't blame Vardy or any other footballer for the wages they get paid - it's not them that dictates how much their salary is. Problems in the game are higher up the food chain than that.
I'm sure you'll be paying tax in whatever society is fortunate enough to have you, even if it is just VAT. But I'm certain premiership footballers will have made more of a contribution
Not really, my inital comment was he is on obscene wages, which he is. Where di I blame him for what he gets paid? Go on, show me...
Wages for kicking a ball are obscene daft to suggest owt else. I don't blame Vardy for accepting them and he's come up the hard way so you have to respect that. There are problems higher up the game that need addressing but seems fair to me to say his wages are obscene because they are.
And so they should. But that wasn't my original point was it? Footballer's wages are obscene and disgusting, regardless of how much tax they pay
Okay, your 2nd comment comparing his 'obscene' wages with that of the aforementioned groups. I just pointed out he doesn't get a say in how high footballers' wages are - they're dictated by other factors. Where did I say you were blaming him? Go on, show me.....
Only one person in the country can do what Jamie vardy has done this season and that's Jamie vardy, just about anyone can train to be a soldier or a nurse. He's worth every penny!
I was "griping" abotu obscene wages/money within football, it's a mere coincidence Vardy plays for that certain football club.
The wages are shocking, but, if the players dont get the lions share of the billions being pumped into the game, then who should? Ive said it before, if the players had a wage cap of say, £10k a week(still too much),the money would just go into the chairmen and shareholders pockets. And anyone who thinks the admission prices and tv subscriptions would go down as a result are just being a bit naive.
