Of all the clubs to get a bee in your bonnet about player wages with you chose Leicester, very funny.
Their wages are completely reasonable. The have a rare skill and people are willing to pay to see it, and advertisers are willing to pay too.
Bless maybe we should set up a charity to support these poor underpaid footballers struggling by on 100 grand a week. Poor poppets how do they manage.
You're making no sense nobody said they are hard done by they said they are paid appropriately based on the scarcity of and demand for their skills, like hollywood actors. They absolutely deserve what they are paid and taking it to stupid extremes like that weakens your argument.
There is a lot of nepotism in football (not necessarily Vardy) which would suggest that almost anyone could train to be a footballer (funny how the likes of Clough, Rednapp, Sheringham and another load of names with famous dad's that you care to google, just managed to be good enough to make it). I'm not saying they weren't any good, just they got a better chance than me or you.
The problem in English football is that they are not paid based on the scarcity of their skills they are paid an inflated version of that due to the money involved in English football. Ronaldo, Messi, Emmanuel Frimpong all worth top dollar though not what they are actually paid. Brek Shea and the like worth 25 to 30 grand a week absolutely not. Not acknowledging that weakens your argument. To use your analogy in football it's not just the top actors that get paid daft money it's the extras from Emmerdale Farm. Based on the number of professional footballers in the world it's not a particular scarce commodity anyway. There are less open heart surgeons.
Genes play a huge part in natural ability coupled with being the son of a footballer means you probably play a lot more growing up in a more professional way. If I'd put in the effort from a young age with my life being dedicated to becoming a professional footballer I don't believe I'd become as good of a football as Jamie Redknapp was personally. Even if I had I'd have earned it through dedication to the art. They put the hours, had natural flair through genes no one else had and got the rewards. I don't begrudge any footballers their wages and am not envious whatsoever
Footballers are worth every penny in the same way that:- Kim Kardashian Kerry Catona (don't even know how to spell her name) Ant and Dec Michael McIntyre Will Ferrell Calum Best etc etc are worth. In the main they are grossly overpaid. I can't blame them for taking the money thrown at them but that doesn't equate to them deserving it.
All of those people have a skill no one on here has and people want to pay for it. Completely deserved I'm not sure you understand the free market
Kim car crash. Famous for sucking **** on video and getting her are out kerry katonI a. .. famous for getting wabs out being the big titted on in a pop band and marrying morons. callum best. his talent is having a famous dad. Rest of the list is debatable.
I do understand the free market. Understanding it doesn't mean I agree with it. I guess we're into semantics. If you're dying of thirst in the desert and I happen to have a bottle of water I might charge you £100,00 for it. In order to save your life it might be worth paying it but do I deserve to receive that sort of money? We can argue this back and forth all day I'm afraid so we'll have to agree to differ.
Kerry Katona's famous for being a singer initially, kim is extremely media savvy and produces show selling a lifestyle that people want to see. Regardless I'm not sure how its gone from me defending Vardy who works hard perfecting a skill no one else has to defending D list celebs... This is a discussion about people at the top of their profession being rewarded for talent and hard work.
This thread is all kinds of funny. Little arguments popping off like grenades. Some posts making no sense at all. A couple of folk throwing a one-liner or random joke in, only for it to be unseen because folk are arguing about nonsense. All that's missing is a completely unrelated gif.
It's Tuesday so it's a good day for a row. I'm going for some sort of tax avoidance scheme involving the purchase of Donkeys in Patagonia run by Cameron's mums cat meaning HMRC pays him an extra 40 %
