    Why would you feel the need to make light of this post? The brother is in his 30s and is clearly as imbecillic as his brother ( long history of cowardly assaults, generally from behind and often with bottle in hand).

    Yes it's far too soft. Should be eye for an eye. End a life and you don't deserve to have one yourself. Should be a death sentence but no matter who's in government they would be too petrified to ever try to bring it back.

    All you gave in reply was "********" hardly a argument I can understand both for and against for bringing back death penalty. But less than 5 years for taking someone's life is a joke for the victims family. The bloke should never be back on our streets but with this softly soft justice system he will be out in 2 and half that is ********.

    There is no reply other than ******** for wanting a man who clearly was drunk and didn't intend to kill another man put to death. I agree the sentence should be far longer but the death penalty?!

    NOT excusing one bit but based on what I've read within this thread he is a nasty piece of work but I certainly don't want him killed.
