On a similar theme pal.... I know you aren't in Edinburgh, BUT I'm in Edinburgh on the weekend of the playoff final on a stag do! How receptive do you think some pub landlords up in Scotty land would be to having an English playoff final on TV?. Presuming we get to the final that is!
Hiya mate, 1st off if you were to enter a pub and say, hey Scottyland bar tender can I watch Barnsley on your tv, I'm sure his response would be a punch in the puss for you. But assuming you were to ask nicely I'm sure there would be no problems assuming there is no live tossing of the caber on the other side. Where about in Edinburgh are you heading for. Loads of great pubs in and around the Old Town area. Rose Street at the back of Princess Street is awash with pubs and restaurants. All very friendly. I'm sure you and your friends will have a great time.
Oh believe me I was going to ask in the politest possible way! Yeah we are staying near Prestonfield golf club, but intend to hit the old town bars and restaurants quite hard! Just hoping I'd we find a pub that will put it on, that I'm not too drunk to enjoy the match! Cheers mate.
Good show mate. I checked out your location and looks relatively central. Old town and Royal Mile look within walking distance. I wouldn't think taxi fares would be too dear. Hope you all enjoy the Edinburgh hospitality.
