If we stay in this division and cant get Longy in I'd take him on a 6 month contract. We need a replacement for Nyatanga.
Yes but imagine he'll leave by mutual consent. Wouldn't be surprised if he dropped down a division or went over to India. Shocking player.

Wasn't at his best this season. Was part of a losing team. It does make you wonder if his removal was a part of our success. But I wouldn't call him shocking. He's had some good moments for us over the years and seems a really good bloke who always gave his all. Just a shame he's prone to the odd rickett. But we could say that about a few of our centre halves in recent years. Even the now imperious Alfie Mawson was dropping ******** all over the shop earlier in the season. I remember Kevin Long costing us at Oakwell once too, as well as getting a red card on debut. Robbo's had his moments. I felt Lewin had a good season last year, as did his teammates. It's a shame for him that this season hasn't worked out and you're right, I wouldn't be surprised if he moves on this summer. I'll thank him for crucial goals against Millwall and Scunny in particular and wish him all the best, should he depart Oakwell. But if Antony Kay is your idea of a replacement, I really don't get the logic. We'll be all out for Kevin Long, nailed on. No matter the division. If we're promoted I see it being a formality.
I didn't rate Lewin last season either. Felt his goals papered over the cracks. As for Kay he's a local lad who knows the division inside out. A few promotions under his belt from this league and he's a top bloke as well. He's looking to move into coaching so I just think he'd be an ideal fit - aslong with Hecky, Wilko, Disco, Bobby ect. If we have no interest in him though that wouldn't bother me. Overall the recruitment at Oakwell since relegation has been fantastic.
I've not seen him play since he left us, but at the standard he was, I'd take him back for a league 1 campaign. Probably not for the Championship though. Thing is, Hecky will know him very well, so if he thinks he's worth a shot he'll go for him. Perfect judge.
