Less than 1500 tickets left in home areas and many are single tickets. If you want to go buy now. Club have had to make game all ticket. No cash entry on day. Due to Health and Safety and Police restrictions, (proximaty to away fans) highly unlikely that the north side of West Stand can be utilised. North Stand being split is not an option. Fans buying tickets please use Print at Home or Add to card options. If you have to take collection option, please do not leave collection till just before game. TICKETS CAN BE COLLECTED FROM REDS STORE NO NEED TO QUEUE AT BOX OFFICE. Better to make an effort to collect Fri, Sat morning than miss start of game. UP THE REDS
I don't understand why we can't have the whole west stand..? 'Health and safety reasons' - haven't we done this before? It's not like there's lots of Walsall fans coming or it's Leeds or Millwall we're playing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Twillo. Thanks for maths question. Capacity gate, less North stand capacity, plus Walsall sold tickets less West Stand north side upper and lower, minus 1400 Sorry not got exact figure at present sure club will advise later.
As you are aware, Health and Safety regulations are constantly moving. Its not just can you get someone on a seat. Stewarding, Police, toilets, access, food outlets all come into equation.
Could you try to get a proper statement from the club or police about why we have to have a 60 yard gap between fans when big rival premier league teams have been on TV numerous times with simply one seat (occupied by a steward) separating the two sets of fans?
Really what is being said is that SYP are enforcing a maximum capacity at oakwell far lower than that which it's safety certificate states and no reason is being given.
East 7,492 Pont 4,508 --------------- 12,000 West total is 4752. Splitting in half and taking out the centre press section approx 2,200. A little of 14,000, so 12,500-12750ish sold Like a w4nk Rachel Riley.
I would say that the North West Stand is a little bit nonsensical all told. How many grounds in the prem which are full every week have home fans literally a 10 ft net part from each other during the game. Man City in the Cup I was about 6 yards away from a little Justin Bieber looking lovely person giving it the big un.
South Yorkshire Police are being and have been a bunch of dickheads recently with us. Dictating football. A minority of me doesn't blame them though with how a small amount of our fans have behaved over the last few years. I love a day out, I love an atmosphere with some animosity and I love getting absolutely smashed before, during and after a game but these who feel they need scrap are spoiling it for others.
Not having a pop at you or the club here, but why increase allocation for Walsall, when their sales pretty much stopped, if we knew we couldn't have the other side of West? Given that they only gave us 1450 seats, why are we obliged to give them twice as many seats than they will sell, an now face a possible scramble of our own for seats, and eliminate the possibility of our own fans turning up on the day? I don't buy this "North Stand can't be split". It can, and it has in the past. It might not be cost effective to do so - that's a different matter. I also don't buy that the club can't use the North Stand as a home end. It's just more inconvenient for the Police.
The police won't allow the north stand to be split anymore just like they won't allow us to use the north end of the West stand anymore. Despite a safety certificate for 23,000 people the police are dictating a maximum ground capacity of closer to 15,000 and refusing to publicly give a reason. There's no wonder everyone thinks they're a bunch of lying, murdering (Hillsborough) racist (Rotherham) paedophile sympathisers (rotherham again) when they make decisions and hide.
SYP have basically done us over good and proper. We increased Walsall's allocation to avoid an all-ticket categorisation being enforced and they did it anyway. We have a 6000 seater stand that cannot be split even if the demand is there and now half the West Stand is apparently unavailable. So essentially Oakwell, a 23,000 seater stadium, is restricted to only 15,000 home fans due to SYP. What is wrong with our fans being in the West Stand? Most clubs only have to close a block of seating towards the away end, we have to close half the flaming stand? SYP allowed Leeds, Wednesday, Brum, Sunderland to plough their fans in to it in years gone by, but won't allow home fans to occupy it? We're possibly going to be turning away our own fans for a massive fixture because SYP would rather half the ground was empty. What a total joke. Apologies if I've missed something but it just seems utterly pathetic. Even more patheitc than the ridiculous plan to switch the whole play-off schedule around if we played Millwall. SYP must loath Barnsley Football Club. If Walsall is causing such a panic, imagine the restrictions if we went up and had Newcastle, Villa, Leeds and the rest descending on us.
If it gets to the stage where we sell out the usual home sections and don't open the north end of the West Stand, that's ridiculous!
It could be down to the cost of stewarding / policing a one seat (more risky) gap? (Maybe the club has said it doesn't want to meet those additional costs?) .
Yep, 1500 still left so need to sell them out first. Those who really wanted a ticket would have got one no matter how, like me for both the home and away games.
