So we can open the west north side against Chelsea but not Walsall haha Embarrassing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So we pay SYP a fair wad of money for Saturday? Can we not withhold a portion of what's due to them, as basically they are restricting BFC income by imposing sanctions which we seemingly have to abide by. Dave Whelan didn't let Wigan be dictated to a few years back, I think we should take a similar stance.
And half is used by away fans the odd time of which a couple of bars and a tunnel separates from the home end
SYP has changed. Despite its past proven failings it has now become more arrogant and obnoxious than ever. Time to disband it altogether as it has been proven to be totally unfit for purpose.
Celtic and Rangers, Man U and Liverpool, Newcastle and Sunderland, Spurs and Arsenal, Man City and Man U, Liverpool and Everton, Spurs and Chelsea, Chelsea and West Ham, Cardiff and Swansea . . . .and on and on and on. All split the stands with rival fans feet apart, separated by some netting and maybe a line of stewards. Barnsley V Walsall? Leave it out. Far to risky. Needs explaining this one.
SYP are also refusing to allow BFC to sell alcohol to Walsall fans at half time. Another source of revenue cut off.
its a joke that we don't open the whole west stand if its a possibility to sell it. Oakwell will never sell out again if were not allowed to sell to our own fans
They say that but in reality they were actually being racist by allowing certain ethnicity's to get away with crimes. They pretend it's the opposite but in reality it is racism
Do you offer your own opinions in these SLA meetings/briefings or do you just tug the forelock and tow party line?
It's very odd all this. I don't know of any other clubs that aren't allowed to use large sections of their ground. Maybe it would be worth the club knocking down the parts of the stadium we're not allowed to use to save money on upkeep. We could sell the land for housing or something. Seems pointless maintaining the integrity of large sections of the stadium when they will never be occupied by paying punters.
It is absolutely ludicrous that a ground that has a safety certificate, have it reduced by a third because some overzealous person in SYP. Will they reduce Hillsbrough and Bramall Lane by an equivalent proportion next season or for the Owl's playoff semi?
This is an absolute disgrace and proper justification needs giving. Fact is it can't be because it's unjustifiable. We have split the North Stand before, we have used the North end of West Stand before, home and away fans. So to have to shut half a stand because Walsall are coming to town is ludicrous and is costing the club big time. I cite the Oxford game at Wembley. Policed and stewarded brilliantly and look at the result. SYP do more to create tension and atmosphere with the heavy handed approach. I would also like to see the club stand up for itself more. That section of the West Stand could have been kept back and opened for pay on the day. We'll lose 2k off the gate by making it all ticket, and can't even serve the good fans of wallsall a beer at half time. Pathetic and revenue we can I'll afford to lose. Bondy I hope you pass on these sentiments at these meetings you attend.
what a load of old b0llocks this is. somewhere in the region of 4000 seats made unavailable, as well as not being allowed to sell ale to travelling fans. someone is taking the pi$$
