Go on, I'll do it. Outstanding day all around today. Town beforehand, the game, the fans, the result.....stuff of dreams, tbh.

But.....Ivan Toney. Discuss. I keep trying with him, I really do, but nope, still don't get it. What's he got? Wins the very occasional header? Okay, you can have that. Holds ball up? No. Passing wizard? No. Great runner off the ball? No. C'mon, somebody throw me a bone...

Totally agree, just don't see anything in him, my heart sank when he came on and our hero went off...

Give the bloke a chance! He came on and had long balls pumped up to him. Plan was clear... He flicks on to Isgrove and Fletcher. He won majority of long balls.

He's clearly short of confidence. I think it would have been a better bet to throw Tuton on for 20 minutes. I imagine he would be the opposite, he'd be full of energy and confidence just for getting on.

Ah well, who cares. I know nothing any way. Just hate to slag anyone after today. Except the linesman. He's a ****.

Maybe because he has pace and CAN win headers and as we were in front let's others in the team have a rest from their well deserved toil on the pitch ????

Just another point if view of course ...

Ivan played well at Wembley and Wigan JPT and that is good enough for me.

Can see why winally came off, save him from injury etc. If tuton is behind toney then i really dont see why hes on the bench in first place.

I thought he did OK today. He's a young lad who would improve with more game time, just as Fletcher has done. Would not be at all surprised to see him score a late goal at Walsall.

Up front on his own when we're looking to hold our lead rather than extend it. He's not a miracle worker.

Thought he was excellent when he came on. He had to battle and try to hold up the ball and that's what he did.

I find it difficult to look for faults today when there is so much to enthuse about. But some people must I suppose.

I agree, but the way things are going on here for me tonight, you probably would rather I hadn't.

I can see why people may have doubts, but **** me, of all days why focus on negatives?

Haha - you read the thread then?? Spotted the 'outstanding day all round' bit, yeah? Are we not allowed to discuss individual players now then? Sorry, hadn't seen the new rules. Jesus wept....

No, didn't have to. Chose to, though. Wasn't aware of the embargo on discussing merits of individual players, but I'll know that for next time. Cheers.

Not "slagging" him. I've no doubt he's a trier, which is all I ask for, but I've not seen anything yet that warrants his place in the first team squad.

We saw it differently I guess. I thought he did well, you not so much. Think we should leave it at that and have a beer.

We brought him on to play up front on his own. That just doesn't suit him in the slightest.

We won 3-0 in the play offs and you've started a thread to complain about a bit part player that had a small sub cameo....

"I'm not slagging him off I'm just calling him terrible then saying he doesn't deserve a place in the squad" unreal.
