 Agreed. It was a great night. One of the best in my time watching them for atmosphere and performance and result. To have it following on from such a fabulous display at Wigan....what a fabulous week!
One of the best atmospheres at oakwell that I can remember tbh . apart from prem prom obviously . Hopefully we can kick on from here with promotion and see fans drifting back to oakwell and if we can keep momentum who knows. Wendy's ant done too bad and without a massive budget.
was one of the best. they'll have to thrown everyone forward from kick-off i reckon. we might not win the game on thursday, but i fancy us to score
To be fair, Wendys haven't done owt till they spent big last summer, £3million a piece on Hooper and Forestieri. But Brentford and Preston have done just fine with a budget comparable to ours. Cash in on the play-offs for promotion, keep this squad together and add to the squad with a nice payday courtesy of Mr Stones' big move to Real Madrid or Barca, with a packed Oakwell every week, very exciting prospect. I need to stop jumping the gun!
Tell me about it. Tell me at 5PM yesterday that we'll win 3-0 and i'd say we'd go through to final yet i'm sat here dreading it and hoping of things like us starting well. Thinking should Heckingbottom make any changes. Will Walsall make chances in formation. Listening to the Heckingbottom Winnall and Hammill last night I thought they dealt with the media very well.
You have got to think that they will use Bradshaw better in the second leg. Those long balls up to him didn't give him much of a chance. Sawyers was also pretty quiet. I could drive myself mad. Don't see us making any changes. Start solidly and hit them on the break will I guess be the tactics. Yup a long week.
for me he's just got to treat it like any other match. it's a winning formula, why change it? if we go defensive, you know what's coming. 3-0 sounds like a huge lead, but it's not really. we scored 2 in a minute, so can they. or if they get an early goal, it's game on. obviously we have a great advantage, but it's nowhere near done and dusted.
Was at Man City game when Aylott scored. Was at Wembley for Ipswich and Oxford. At millennium for Swansea. Liverpool for the 0-0 away. Been all over. But the atmosphere v Chelsea in the quarter final of the f.a cup will never be beaten. The Ponte was literally shaking.
I was telling everybody we would win 3-0. And now I predict a 1-1 draw on Thursday. I thought the media performance was really average. Apart from Isgrove, not one hair had budged since kick-off. He's like a tricky, industrious gel advert.
I'm a Barnsley supporter. As good as this run has been, as much as I love Hecky and his players, it's still Barnsley. Until full time on Thursday night, I shall be expecting the worst. I have spent most of afteroon looking for hotels though. And I booked the bank holiday weekend off work.
I was sat at Wigan last week, 4-1 up, and all I could think of was THAT Ipswich game! I never EVER feel comfortable watching Barnsley. Its part of the fun
