Anyone nervous about Thursday?

I was calm going into Saturday and all I hoped for was to still be in with a shout at their place after the first 90 minutes.



Well here we are at half time 3-0 up and my nerves are in bits.

 

Yes, cos if it was 0 0 it's all even and anything can happen. But at 3 0 everyone expects us to go through and Walsall are very capable of knocking in a couple early doors.

Hope we play a normal game and hit them in the break, but I was worried when we won 4 0 at Birmingham in the play offs! Can't help fearing the worst.

 

They have to score 4. They are going to go for it leaving gaps at the back for us to exploit on the break. Of course were nervous!

Yes and I'll be a nervous wreck if they get an early goal. I keep telling myself that our biggest problem will be complacency and i tell myself that Hecky will not allow any in the team but it doesn't make any difference, I'm still nervous.

 

No, because everytime I`ve doubted them on this run in they have pulled something out of the hat and showed me their is feight and a team/squad all on the same hymn sheet.

If Aidy White is fit though I'd put him in at full back. Let midfield run their blood to water & put Scowen on with 30-35 mins to go, to close things down further.
Scowen should play the final, but in a game where you have to defend a lead start with your best defenders & have options off the bench.

Yes, very nervous, but then I always am. Its not true that they need to score 4, they need to score 3, and then its penalties. We did it, so can they. First goal is massive. If we get it, I think its all over. If they get it, it will be like the Alamo.

 

I've convinced myself that we'll be 2 down after 20 minutes.

 

if you are really worried have a couple of quid on walsall at 25/1 to win promotion and then back millwall to beat them in the final to edge your bet.

No, the pressure is on Walsall to get an early goal to make a game of it. Keep calm for 1st 20 minutes and Wembley is ours.

 

I'd play exactly same line up. But if we're still winning by 3 perhaps give White 45 mins under his belt, move Scowen into centre and give Conor or Brownhill a rest.

 

Of course I'm nervous. I support Barnsley, and they always do the opposite to what is expected.

I don't know how any real Barnsley supporter can't be nervous.

No matter how good we are, how many goals we're up by or what minute of the game it is we're Barnsley and if we let our guard drop we could be punished!

That would work too. Just think if you are in a defensive situation, start with your best defence. That for me would include White.

Josh has done great there & as I said should start in the final, but personally would put White in.
