A couple of time that i can think of ipswich at home 3-0 with 8 minutes to go drew 3-3 and for the older ones on here 3-0 up at halftime exeter at home lost 4-3 think it was a night match in the late 70s i was about 14 and at the time and was gutted. but this team will not let that happen will they?
I remember being 3-0 down against Fulham and winning 4-3. We were 3-0 up at Charlton once (Ron Futcher hat-trick, then he got himself sent off) and lost 5-3.
I remember us once being 3-0 up at home to bottom of the table Stockport, and drawing 3-3. 2002ish? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
This game and the Ipswich game are the ones that really stand out. Wasn't Hart sacked just after the Stockport game?
3 - 0 up against Peterborough other year. We ended up winning 4-3 but was a bit too close for comfort as they stormed back to 3-3 in the second half
Remember that game. It was under Jim Iley, maybe 77/78? we were in the running for promotion if we had have won.
The Ipswich game is the one stand out game. Had that game been another couple of minutes longer we would have lost it. We totally went in the neck.
Yeah that Ipswich game. Think we were comfortably winning until a Dave Watson backpass was poorly cleared by him with five minutes to go and they hit the woodwork for a winner.
4-1 up with 10 minutes to go against Stockport in 1978/79. The Clarkie promotion season. Drew 4-4 after a Les Bradd hat-trick. Gary Copley our rookie keeper had a mare.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/barnsley/results 24th of november against Peterborough the last time we let in three goals or more in a game. 37 games ago and even then we scored twice, which we'd take on thursday night. No idea the last time we lost a match by a margain where a 3-0 scoreline wouldn't have been good enough as a "first leg". Obviously we can lose and go out but if we did it would be pretty ****. Not at all worried about thursday. If anything i'm more confident after tonight because Hecky will drum it into the players how Dull nearly screwed it up even with the advantage of playing at home, which we don't have.
remember a full members cup tie at leicester in 1991. we came back from 3-0 down to level, and still went on to lose 4-3 (a.e.t i think!)
