Not that long to go, bat deep and inclement weather in the south west. Draw looks quite achievable.

Not really. Since Jason Gillespie took over they have hardly lost a match. I know a couple of quick wickets will cause a few wobbles but there are only 14 overs left as at right now and they have more than enough to bat them out. It's not a win but a draw is always a decent result if you concede over 500 in the first innings and then have to follow on.

All this without the likes of Sidebottom Bresnan Willey Root and Bairstow.

Got a long tail too - every one of them has a half century to his name and only Patterson and Brooks haven't scored centuries before.

No chance, but there are questions about our batting?

Balance Gale and Leaning have struggled so far to get runs this season.

I think Gale has struggled for some time. Maybe since that racism incident at the end of the season before last. Maybe it upset his game. He certainly doesn't look worth his place at the moment. Would love to see Kane Williams in there, in his place, despite the unpalatable idea of replacing a Yorkshireman with a Kiwi.

We can't use this as an excuse, the two batsmen won't play much for us this season. Bowling hasn't really clicked this season, Dizzy will fix it.

Andrew Gale is having a torrid time lately. Not just putting the hosts in one a bright sunny day, but also his batting isn't great. By the time Kane Williamson arrives the captain may have to drop himself, especially if Jack Leaning gets enough runs to justify his place.

I hate seeing Yorkshire trying to save a game - it's just not in their nature to block and block.

Adil Rashid faced 30 balls but didn't score a single run. Totally alien to his usual style that.

Plunkett is there now and he won't be able to help himself. They will toss one up for him and he will be caught on the boundary some time soon.

Good fight in the end to get the draw. Been a tough start to the season but we are still unbeaten and there's been loads of draws all round so we are hanging in there whilst not playing well.

give them credit for... hanging on for a draw!!
its not what yorkshire are good at though is it, and they havent been good so far apart from the win over surrey. despite his 100+ in the first innings, adam lyth has been very disappointing with the bat.

Andrew gale. 1000 first class runs last year, not in form right now but don't write him off!
