For when millwall fans eat your first born.

Let's put some perspective on things... There are folk on here who have been and survived the free for all at full time that happens at both bumhole lane and the sty. Been bellend road, maine road, through that subway in wolves,Birmingham City, South emsall etc yet are terrified of Sunday.

In what will be the biggest Met turn out for Barnsley folk since '84.

Yes they've got some unpleasant kids but who hasn't?

The constant hyperbole about their fans reputation is starting to veer past scaremongering down to the downright ludicrous.

The scare tactics are similar to those being used by Camoron and his mate. Millwall fans have some idiots, but so have we, and with the additional police presence, I expect the event to be safe for all.

Yes and thanks to (more than) a few on here spreading the word of fear we will probably have 3 or 4 thousand less going than we should have had: ridiculous.

Londoners eat their own kids at the first flurry of snow. :D

To be honest, I don't think anybody's that bothered. I can understand people with kids wanting to steer well clear of any bother. I couldn't care less, the worst aggro I've ever seen, has been from coppers.

Millwall have a few idiots as do most teams. People get a bit obsessed by them for some reason. It will be a lot less friendly than the Oxford game more akin to the Cardiff game in terms of atmosphere but that doesn't mean the will be rampaging down Wembley way with long boats and hatchets.

Missus was a bit worried about that part of the day.

Then I explained she'll be in middle of a 70 odd stone man sandwich looking after her

    Stick together you'll be fine.

I haven't read much scaremongering, what I have seen is people wishing we were playing Bradford because the atmosphere around Wembley is likely to be **** with Millwall. I prefer atmospheres like we had against Ipswich and Oxford but I'm not put off by Millwall.

3 or 4 thousand people put off by what a few randomers say on a message board? I doubt anyone has been put off going by what they have read on the BBS. Folks have a mind of their own so will go regardless of what's said on here.

Of course there are other significant factors (fiscal, timing etc). I would though like to believe that people who post on here actually speak to real people in real life, face to face. One only has to look at social media for example, you know, a completely uninformed statement that is blindly believed by the hordes.

You overestimate the influence this forum has to most BFC fans.

Again i'm not overestimating the influence this forum has to most bfc fans. People on this forum exist in real life, hard to believe i know, and they offer their views to other real people too. Aunty Iris (who is partial to the odd game, and in particular special occasions) went with her nephew to see us against ipswich, swansea, cardiff and oxford. However she was in town shopping on friday and stopped to have a chat with the butcher in the market. "Your not going to wembley are you Iris? Bloke just bought a couple er chops and he sez them Millwall eat babies!" "Oo blooming eck", says Iris, "I,ll give it a miss this time then". Iris then goes and tells everyone she knows why she isn't going to wembley.

Well, I've got pantophobia and I'm still going on Sunday.

And no, pantophobia is not an irrational fear of pantomimes.

I'm no expert on the London Underground, but wouldn't they be taking the Jubilee and then Bakerloo lines to Wembley Central? We'd be on the Met line from KX.

No doubt some plonkers will want to "av a tasty mix up" with Barnsley fans on the Met line but surely they'd be in the vast minority.
