Think we'll not sell much more.

I think it will top out at 21k. Bank Holiday is keeping a lot away. Also the casual fans have been there once and seen a trophy lifted.

I wouldn't say casual fans, I don't have the money for it this time and even if I did I wouldn't feel comfortable in the environment that the Millwall fans create.

By casual, I mean family members etc who only go because it's Wembley. There's a lot of those. As opposed to died in the wool part-timers like me. :D

i get all the reasons why people might not be going, but still disappointed if we don't beat the JPT attendance

Agreed Marc, this is far more important than the JPT, the lads have done their part, we need to do ours

Players will take notice as well. If the turn out is poor Sunday, one or two will think they can do better.

I'll be honest I've borrowed a bit to cover this tie and many won't have that option ahead of payday. It's £100 for the day even if you take your own sandwiches and drink pop. I'm afraid we can't do much more. I do think the point about seeing us at Wembley already had meant many have had their affordable fill

So many factors at play here. As I said, I think we'll just fall short of 22k. Millwall appear to have pretty much sold out, so will probably ask for more tickets. Wonder what happens in that scenario - they can't start asking Barnsley fans to 'budge round a bit' and I've never known Wembley to have opposing fans in adjacent tiers

I think you are right - I know a few people who arent going because its Millwall and also quite a few are away cant afford to go twice etc
They could give Millwall the upper tier extending round 526 525 etc but that would put Millwall above Barnsley fans and not sure thats a good idea

Trying to do my bit - am sure all on here are trying to do same. Not sure I have ever been as skint as I am now, but I have just bought a ticket (and offered a lift) to my Uncle (bloke who is responsible for me being a Barnsley fan) and have offered two tickets to a couple of mates who are going through a bit of a bad time. Hopefully a full car, a bit of banter and the attendance swelled by just three ...... but hey, that's me doing my bit.

Roll on bloody pay day! ! !

give over, for a start players aren't that out of touch, there's loads of reasons folk might not be going, been once recently so can't afford it again, Bank Holiday, annual hols, can't afford it for other reasons hols etc, Millwall factor, domestic commitments etc.
I could see low regular weekly attendances becoming a factor but we have always been decent at that for whatever level we are at

For many fans there's been the first Wembley trip, early bird season tickets and can't-miss extras like Wigan and Walsall to pay for in the space of 8 weeks. I know fans who said they couldn't go, but have begged, stolen or borrowed and changed their minds. Well, not the stolen bit obviously! That's why people will continue to buy until late on this one.

Sorry, don't buy into that entirely.
Do not forget that the regular fan base is approx. 8000 - 9000 so they will have bought theirs, or not for whatever reason, and what we are now saying is that it is the fair weather fans who are not buying. The non-regulars.
You can say that at the moment about 10,000 non regulars have bought but it appears that there are not many more prepared to buy. It seems to have reached saturation point.
Unless, of course, the club are allowed to sell after Wednesday but in truth I don't think that will really make much difference.
I do hope I am wrong.

    This.

How many times have we been within a game of being promoted in the last couple of decades?

There's still a week to go but it'll be really poor if we can't at least top the fantastic JPT support we gave when our lads need it even more on Sunday.

this might come as a shock Jamo , but for some people no matter how important football is to you or them life and family sometimes gets in the way .

We don't know who isn't buying. It's all speculation. It will be a combination of the regular skint ones and the non regular trippers.
