Be aware of this number 01964037521 they say they are from your internet provider saying they have received a Warning message from your router & asks for you to let them access your router. I know this thing is a an old type scam, they knew certain details of my account so they are getting better at it.
I had one last week from someone pretending to be from talk talk. I just happen to be a talk talk customer so they can really catch you off-guard. He started saying that my computer had been showing 'errors' on their system and he would need to access my computer to 'fix' the errors. I quickly sussed it and told him that I didn't have a computer. He became very aggressive and said he was going to turn off my internet because in his own words 'I was asking him silly questions'. I told him I was merely returning the compliment because he was asking me silly questions. Eventually he hung up aggressively saying he was turning off my connection......I'm still connected but beware folks, they are very persistent with their methods
I had one once and I called him out on it. He then said “If you don’t tell me then how will you get your banana?” I said “Pardon, what did you say” And he said “Your banana, because you’re a monkey! Banana, banana, banana”! I figured it was a scam! They get very aggressive when you start to doubt them!
If you have the time and the nerve you can play along for a bit but pretend you dont know what you are doing so arnt able to do what they want I remember reading a transcript of someone doing that and it was quite entertaining and kept them occupied for almost an hour before they gave up and hung up - cant find it now though
You don't need to phone to access routers. Tools and search engines available that can find all those with default, non-existent security. Same with IP Camera's. Scary that some folk just unbox them and plug them in withoutnchanging any basic settings. Well know hotel chain in Holland
upload image online

I was caught out a few years ago. They said they were from Apple. Cut a long story short they hacked into my computer and down loaded everything. Had a right job altering everything of importance. Last week I got this new call as on here and I twigged straight away.. Not catch me twice. I told him to fu,k off and get off the telephone the scamming barstewrad. I believe they are from somewhere in Africa.
