Please don't confuse a bit of banter with abuse. I only say this because I witnesses it a few times at the JPT final. A couple of Oxford fans, early to mid 30s, not in traditional casuals gear, in jest shouted, "ayup, the flat cap brigade are hear". At which point, a middle aged bloke in a flat cap, who was with presumably his grandchildren, offered them out for a fight and shouted obsenities at them. I spoke to another chap after the JPT who described the Oxford fans as 'knob heads' for asking him who was looking after his whippet. There's no need to get worked up over a bit of banter. If like me, you're not clever enough to think of a witty comeback, just give a little laugh and walk on. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
id take that as a joke and either chuckle at it or try to come up with a witty reply. i agree though that theres no need for some replies that fans give back, and its not just our fans who do this is it.
I agree it is other fans too. But it just annoys me when you ask someone about their day out at Wembley and they take their judgement of other fans from what was clearly a light hearted joke. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
A few years back I went on a works do in leeds, first pub we hit after coming out of the train station had a couple of bouncers on the door, we approach the pub and one of the bouncers asks where we are from, " Barnsley " one of the lads replies , " oh aye, where's yer whippet mate" sez the bouncer, so my chelps " back at home flying mi kestral " , sithi .
didn't see too many Oxford fans getting wound up at the lads doing the "sing when you're rowing" caper. Why would you?
