From BFC facebook: "Just the 21 assists and 11 goals from 'Skip' this term..."
Where's the chap on here who used to say "it's only because he takes every set piece"? Aye, because I remember Tom Kennedy having assist after assist when he was on corners (and making me tear my hair out... what do you mean 'what hair'?)
Even better than I remember. I think it was he only floats in corners (anyone can do that) and takes penalties.
14 goals and 25 assists last year. He's maintained his breathtaking ability to impact and influence BFC results positively.
As I watch that I go all "Wednesday".... we must win on Sunday to get those great crowds back in at Oakwell and see big crowds away from home. Afraid it looks depressing seeing some of those empty grounds. Anyway, well done CH.
Heard and read loads of rubbish about Hourihane over the last two years - some of the stuff after the Colchester game was shocking . He's played a massive part in our success this season - added a bit more steel to his undoubted ability- must be one of the most influential midfielders in the lower leagues - the facts are there for everyone to see
I couldn't and I bet you couldn't, in fact besides from Mr C I doubt most of the BBSers couldn't do it.
No midfielder has done more for this club since Neil Redfearn. We've had decent players since then (some better some would say) such as Hignett, Buttercup, Howard etc but those three haven't given us the kind of service Conor has. Trying to get him tied down long term this summer is more important than anything else. Win on sunday and he will already be well on his way to being a legend here. Be great if he sees his long term future here.
