but when they are selling wembley merchandise at alhambra can they sell wembley tickets aswel and season tickets for people who cant be arsed to go to oakwell
I certainly think they should have premises in the town centre where they can sell tickets/merchandise. It would make it more convenient for those who haven't got their own transport.
There's actually people who can't be arsed to travel the additional 800 yards from Alhambra to Oakwell??? Tarn's ******.
I can't be arsed to go to the Alhambra. What with having to find and pay for a parking place. Think last time I was in was when Woolworths was there, or was it a Coop Department store?
theres people who cant be arsed to walk from bus station to oakwell no matter what time im walking from county way i see people getting in a taxi to go to matches
The shop obviously lost money otherwise it wouldn't have closed but I do think the club should consider a presence in town again, puts the club in people's face a bit so it could be worth the cost even if it loses say, 20 grand a year. They would need a facility to sell tickets though, I don't believe they did that last time it was purely just merchandise.
That big shopping centre in MK has an MK Dons stall down one of the walkways. I have no idea if it works for them - it is an up-market shopping centre and most of the stalls down the walkways are more upmarket than your average stall. The MK Dons stall is always surrounded by kids. As I say, I have no idea if it is a worthwhile venture but the one good thing it does do is scream "MK DONS" at you as you browse the shops and I guess it engages their fans.
Going t game is as much about the social aspect as it is the game. Id rather chat to someone ive not seen for a couple of weeks in the pub and have to get a taxi than get to the ground ten minutes before kick off.
Its 20k plus a year to rent a proper shop inside alhambra centre. .. Its going to be at least that in wages. Then theres a few grand *****ed on an epos system and getting it to talk to the one at the club. Then youll be looking at few hundred to cover utilities rates rtc a month And youve got tp increase/adjust stock levels to ensure both stores dont run short. Your looking at best part of 100k before doors even open for business.
