Reading that Spurs and the FA have come to an agreement that Spurs will use Wembley for all their Champions League fixtures. Think I also read that they will use the stadium for all fixtures 2017/2018 during White Hart Lane redevelopment.
Are they, like West Ham, getting it on the cheap. I haven't seen any details but it wouldn't surprise me. I've always been cynical.
To be honest I'm not too fussed about it. Strikes me that a stadium only used 20(?) times per year and more in April-May than at other times of the year can be used for additional fixtures (5 ish). I've not seen the details, but the 'spin' is that the FA will be generating some extra income from these fixtures and Spurs will be benefit too. I just hope they don't overprice the tickets.
Playing all league matches there 2017/18 season. So if they get to a cup final they will be playing at home. Unbelievable Jeff.
Surely that's the idea of a national stadium? It used to be something to aspire to for internationals and special games not just another ground and its a real advantage to Spurs if they get to a final. Its just the money grabbing FA that overspent on it
What annoys the **** out of me is the clear advantage the london clubs have, West Ham basically being given a brand new stadium, Spurs and possibly Chelsea getting Wembley whenever they want Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We ought to ask them to build a new West Stand got us, and an new ground for our dear neighbours in S6
