Let's face it, a few of us mentioned this last week. Why put fans next to each other there, when there was the whole of the Upper tier to go at? http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?244070-%A330-%A340-Upper-Tier-Now-On-Sale Absolute madness, and unfortunately not much of a surprise.
Agree fired. Really bad planning all round. Disgraceful that it should have been allowed to happen and wasn't predicted as at least a possibility. If I was one of those stewards tonight, having had to hold back a scrum of thugs for £10 an hour, I would be less than impressed with the position the powers that be had put me in needlessly.
Wembley have to take the blame for that. Don't want it looking bad on TV. Stupidity on their behalf, or perhaps naivety in not taking the opposition into account.
Agree Fired, was sat right next to the black sheet what separated us, ended up in 504 when it kicked off
Common sense for the upper tier would have been to start off by selling tickets for the blocks furthest away from them, so bang behind our goal. Amateur Hour to think in a pretty much empty upper tier the thing to do is to start by selling tickets next to some flimsy netting.
Agreed, Fired. I was in Block 501 with my two kids, with only 3 or 4 empty seats with black netting to separate us from the Millwall fans. There seemed to be trouble brewing even after Fletcher scored, so you'd have thought they'd have made sure they had enough stewards or even police there.
As an absolute minimum Wembley should re-fund the ticket costs to everyone sat in that section. Appalling administration / organisation considering how many other areas were available.
I know. I searched the entire upper tier concourse looking for one of the Met's finest. Not one to be found Having been on protest marches before and seen innocent folk get kettled id have to imagine that any real chance of getting hurt means they stay away
Wembley need to stop that stupid fill up the sections for the tv policy. If I was sat in those blocks I'd write a letter of complaint to the stadium/ticketmaster
its shame we're blaming ticketmaster and Wembley for what essentially was a group of Millwall fans who had a mission to cause trouble. from the pictures should be easy to nail down and they weren't just 14yr old numpties. Men old enough to know better. If they had been given an education and a brain cell they might have turned into humans.
We're blaming all three, Millwall need a points deduction next season, lifetime bans have done **** all and don't punish the club.
