Already spending some of the John Stones sell on clause money in your head? In my head I've already got us buying Isgrove, paying Brownhill's compensation, putting in a bid for Fletcher and extending deals with Hammil, White. And tying down others (Hourihane, Winnall, Mawson) on longer/better contracts.

Obviously none of this could happen but oh well I'm excited about the prospect of championship football again. Seeing the away end full of Newcastle and Villa fans as opposed to seeing empty seats in league 1.

    You reds!

I wouldn't go for a White. He's too injury prone for me.

Yeah that had crossed my mind, maybe a pay as you play deal would be suitable?

Mind you, I don't know if he'd accept that given he could probably get a full contract lower down.

Amazing we may have to spend a small fortune just to keep this team together...

As for the JS money.... all that will do is put a players fee up... lets get any deals done asap

For me, its about rewarding those who have really made this happen.

Get Heckingbottom and his coaching staff on suitable contracts. Championship contract extensions for Hourihane, Winnall, Mawson and Hammill.

Increments for Roberts and Davies. And down to the club how they approach the loan situation.

I can understand the club won't want to laden itself with too much cost having had to undergo the difficult cost cutting exercise from relegation last time.

What I do feel though, and its finally a very good feeling to have, is that whatever they decide, it will be with the facts in hand and the intention of not hindering the club, but stabilising us back in the Championship.

I cant wait already! I bloody love this club and team right now, the most since "that day".

Isgrove would be my number 1 target - he's just got better and better as the season has gone on.

I'd like to think we're in a situation where, because the players are young, they'll be able to adapt to the Championship and keep improving but it would be naive to think that simply keeping this squad together would be enough.

Would be nice to just have a relatively uneventful season, see where we are lacking and then build from there. I just hope we can keep hold of people like Mawson, Hourihane and Winnall...there must be at least 7 or 8 clubs with their names on a list of potential targets.

It's a lot of money, but they're all investments. Look at Leicester and Drinkwater. Bought him for a million and he's probably worth at least 8 in today's market. If we get Fletcher for anything like that we'll be laughing in a few years. Honestly, if we do get the chance to buy him we'd be crazy not to.

Yes, I was talking about spending the Stones windfall money last night on the way home.

Don't we also get a slice of the Hull parachute payment.

Oh, and I wouldn't mind Kevin Long back. if Nyatanga moves on Long would be an excellent boost to the squad.

Think drink water would be worth more like 20 million at today's prices.
