Surely thats decision made now. Loving his football, adored by fans, 2 wembley appearance and back in the championship! Get thi new contract signed lad

Would love to see Brownhill, Isgrove and Fletch back next season too. All played a big role in our sucess this season.

Retained list may be interesting, only lads I'd let go are Ryan Williams and Naytanga

I think that George Smith may be on that list too.

George Smith has been offered a new deal and the retained list has already been released.

Williams and Nyatanga weren't included on that as their contracts aren't up yet.

Unfortunately for both of our clubs, the word over here is that Brownhill to Bristol City is a done deal, and was happening whichever way the result went yesterday. Given that he wants to play more, a move to Barnsley would've made far more sense but that's his prerogative.

By the way congratulations on a remarkable turnaround and promotion. Barnsley away is an excellent addition to some already cracking away fixtures next season. Another stop off in Penistone, mainly for the chippy there, may be in order!

I'd like us to sign Brownhill, but if he doesn't come then it's a new right back we need with Scowen moving back into midfield. Just think that Lee Johnson is likely to stifle Brownhill's game with his odd tactics and weird formations. By the way, how's Pearson getting on? Still can't for the life of me fathom why any club would want him ahead of Brownhill, but hey-ho.

He said he wants to get everything sorted as soon as possible, and that he goes on holiday on Tuesday.

    Might we hear something today?

    He's done well.

Got his 10th booking when we were on a good run so had a bit of a spell out of the side but overall a very promising start. He needs to calm his temper a bit though. Seems to start a brawl every other match.

We loaned out Brownhill because, to be frank, he had been ***** for around 12 months, wasn't getting into the match day squad, and needed to go and play and get some confidence back.

Now he has found that, but there was always a feeling he would leave because he wanted more games, which is why the Bristol move is quite surprising but that's his choice.

Any idea how much they've offered? Assuming it'll go to a tribunal.

Rumour is no tribunal as it's all already agreed.

Looking at the Bristol forum they seem to be hearing the same also.

Obviously haven't seen any of the rumours, but I'd honestly be surprised if Brownhill had already agreed a deal with Bristol. I suppose that, in the end, they can offer more than we can, but surely there's no reason not to keep your options open, especially when the team that you're playing well for is looking like getting promoted?

Then again, we know that Johnson rates him so it's not out of the question. And maybe Moncur is the one we've identified as his replacement, or as backup for Scowen.

George Moncur now follows his new captain, Conor Hourihane, on Twitter.

I didn't think we'd ever get Brownhill back anyway. I thought he'd end go back in the team at Preston. Just hope the Hammill to Bristol City rumours aren't as true.

Yeah I realise that now I look at it again.

It does answer the question on Smith though and I do think he deserves a new contract.

It's not the retained list, but aren't the only 'senior' players out of contract Williams and Hammill? We all know we're making attempts to keep them both.
